Welcome to Finter

That's right.
Not Fall.  Not Winter.
FINTER.

The season that can't make up its mind.

Gorgeous, as it might be.

I realized this week that Murder, She Wrote is actually the adult version of Scooby Doo.  Think about it:  lame mysteries solved and then painfully explained (in ridiculous detail) by the locals?  If it weren't for those darn kids...see?  It fits!  And, Angela turned 88 this week.  Way, to go, Ang.  Scooby, dooby doo!

There it is again.  Amazing color.

Incredible detail!

Aw, my favorite little pumpkin!

This video cracks me up!
My pal, Dawn, sent it to me, straight from the big island.
It's a local playing the ukulele.  And yodelling.
At the same time.  ENJOY.

 It's all about perspective.

 Finter at its finest.

From where will my help come?

Oh, that's right.  Amen.

Bombing a Bundt and Other Adventures

The colors of the season are incredible!

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth."
Psalm 121:1-2

 WOW!

Nothing says Lutheran Church like a hip hop artist named AGAPE*!
Just keepin' it real.  WORD.

 Emma would NOT leave until
we left a goodbye note to Ruth Ann.

Ok, now don't hurt me.  This wasn't my fault.
My tech colleague felt bad that I lost another pet,
so she brought me a frog that had been in her classroom.

His name is...wait for it....Froggie.  (already named by 2nd graders).  I had him at home for a few days, but his incessant mating calls (look up African Dwarf Frog on YouTube, and you'll understand what I mean) drove me crazy, so he's living at school now.  I'm sure he's much SAFER at school, anywho!

FaceTime is the BEST.  Look at those cheeks!

Really, now.  What a doll - visiting my classroom the other day.  She tossed my writing boards all over the floor, giggled and just scoffed at me when I asked her to pick them back up.  She has this "unh unh" sound that just melts you!  Stinker!  :)

Because all good maracas belong inside my shirt.

Amen, amen, amen.

There you have it.

Rather pretty, wouldn't you say?

My great escape.

Unreal!!

From the garden at Flagstone - the kids were so proud!

Another day dawns...

...stunning.

A Pastor and her Paintbrush:  President Carter and Roslynn came to town to build for Habitat for Humanity and we sent a team of helpers from Bethany!

Meeting one of the actual home owners!

This is what greets me at school the other day:
a pile of fire extinguishers.
How appropriate - I do spend the day putting out fire after fire...

Because I was SO successful making Banana Bread Cupcakes
(NOT), I thought we'd try our luck at a Banana Bread Bundt cake.

Fail.
Trying to remember this.

Really, Siri?  When DO you cooperate?

The kitchen will never be the same again!
Never eaten such vibrant color!

CROP Walk:  Nothing says Sunday afternoon than a fun walk with friends AND being able to fight hunger while at it!  Stacie and I were also excited for Parker's Confirmation (his Dad often walks with us).

No, I don't have to go to the bathroom.
I was crouching to take a picture with 3 people,
and it looks absolutely ridiculous!

Sarah and Andrea finally gave up and joined me in ShortLand! HA!

The organization caught this picture as we began our 6K.
They said we had enthusiasm.  Well....YEAH!

We take awesome candids!

Amen!
