Dancing is silent poetry.

My heart is anything but silent today - it is dancing with delight! I enjoyed yet another calm and renewing church service at Bethany today. The Christmas hymns were amazing in the sanctuary, as the organist once again impressed me with her skill and musicality. Angels we Have Heard on High, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, O Come All Ye Faithful - wonderful music!
This Sunday, however, I thought I spied someone familiar in the pews ahead of me. Sure enough, there was Dr. Marie Friedemann, from Regis! She was the kind soul who helped with all the behind-the-scene details of Commencement in December, providing everything from advice on what should be included in my Benediction speech, to the last minute straightening of my hood. I could tell right away she was a hoot, and now I find she is a 30+ year member of Bethany's congregation! Our paths were certainly meant to cross!
